Continuous Composites, founded in 2015, has opened a new 7,500 square foot facility in Idaho dedicated to research, development, and additive manufacturing. This state-of-the-art building showcases the company’s patented Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D) technology, which now operates at 25 times the previous build volume. The new facility demonstrates CF3D’s potential to replace metal 3D printing in applications that require high strength and low weight, with its unique process of soaking continuous dry fibers with a photopolymer and curing it with UV light to create high-performance parts.
Over the past five years, Continuous Composites has built strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including Siemens, Arkema, Comau, and Güdel. These collaborations enhance CF3D’s capabilities, with Siemens contributing advanced robotic control systems, Arkema providing specialized thermosetting resins, and Comau and Güdel supporting automation and precision manufacturing.
