HUNTSVILLE, AL — February 26, 2026 —The Auburn University Applied Research Institute is bringing advanced composite manufacturing into the spotlight with the installation of Continuous Composites’ CF3D Enterprise Cell—the only system of its kind operating in Alabama. Featured as the centerpiece of the CF3D Tech Tour in Huntsville, the system is enabling engineers, researchers, and defense stakeholders to engage directly with next-generation continuous fiber 3D printing capabilities.

As highlighted by AUARI’s Luke Boyer, the event is positioned as an engineering forum focused on manufacturing maturity, capability readiness, and transition risk—critical factors for defense adoption. The CF3D platform’s ability to support fiber steering, complex geometries, and digitally driven composite fabrication is helping accelerate structural development while maintaining the rigor required for aerospace and defense applications.

The installation reinforces Auburn’s role as a technical bridge between university-led research and the broader defense innovation ecosystem, while demonstrating how Continuous Composites’ technology is being evaluated and integrated into mission-driven manufacturing environments.
